Job Description

We are looking to recruit a dynamic GP Partner to join our team. Working 4 – 6 clinical sessions, you will have the opportunity to join a dedicated programme of support for Partners provided by the local training hub and LMC.
In addition, you will be given the opportunity to apply for a 1 session/week fellowship (12-month duration) with the University of Gloucestershire, developing a project (with a key focus on research and quality improvement) to support reduction of Health Inequalities for Cinderford’s patient population. A CPD Bursary of up to £2k is also available to support your fellowship activities.
Nestling in the glorious Forest of Dean, with good travel links to Gloucester, Bristol, Birmingham and London, our Cinderford Surgery serves the town and surrounding rural communities. The Forest of Dean is a beautiful area rich in heritage and wildlife, and well known for outdoor activities including woodland walks and mountain-biking. The area is served by at least 5 secondary schools rated good or above. There are several leisure centres and many well-established football, rugby, hockey, cricket and running teams for all ages.
In spacious, environmentally friendly new premises, we occupy the first purpose-built dementia friendly surgery in the UK. With a growing list of over 11,600 patients and support from our practice team, patients can also access a full range of services at our branch sites in Ruardean, and Westbury.
We are a friendly democratic partnership of 3, plus 2 salaried GPs supported by ANPs, prescribing nurses, a clinical pharmacist, and dedicated clinical and non-clinical teams. We also host an increasing number of PCN additional roles including a Mental Health Practitioner, Pharmacy Technicians, Dietician and Physiotherapists. We continually strive to develop our practice, embracing new ways of working where beneficial.
