Forest Health Care are delighted to offer a unique opportunity for a Salaried General Practitioner to join our small, friendly team. Offering flexibility on the number of sessions/days worked, we can provide a competitive salary based on experience, NHS Pension and 8 weeks annual leave (pro-rata) including bank holidays. Upon joining Forest Health Care, you will be welcomed with a Golden Hello of £5,000 to support you in your move to our practice. Located in one of the ‘top 10’ places to live in England, working at our practice provides good travel links to Gloucester, Bristol, Birmingham and London. The Forest of Dean is a beautiful area rich in heritage and wildlife, and well known for outdoor activities including woodland walks and mountain-biking. The area is served by > 5 secondary schools rated good or above along with several leisure centres and well-established football, rugby, hockey, cricket and running teams for all ages.
Supporting patients across both urban and rural communities, the practice prides itself on creating a warm, welcoming environment for both staff and patients. Our clinical team provide high-quality care to our 12,000 patients as well as supporting local Care homes, patients with Learning Disabilities and long-term condition management.
We pride ourselves on having strong relationships with our local community with patients visiting us in our purpose-built surgery in Cinderford and branch surgeries in Ruardean and Westbury-On-Severn.

If you are a newly qualified GP, we would also support your application to the locally funded ‘New to Practice’ GP fellowship scheme and you will have the opportunity to work on a range of initiatives supporting reduction in Health Inequalities across our patient population.
Your Practice team
Alongside three GP partners your role as a salaried GP would be supported by our clinical team consisting of at least two salaried GPs, an urgent care team, a Nurse Clinical lead, Practice Nurses, HCAs and a Phlebotomist. Our extended team of Pharmacists, Care Co-Ordinators, Administrators and Care Navigators supports MDT working including attendance at a weekly clinical meeting.
To encourage collaborative working, the practice arranges regular social events and supports all staff with free parking onsite.
