Job Description

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic newly qualified GP for 4 – 7 sessions (CCT completion date within two years of appointment date and who have not yet held a substantive salaried post) to join our forward thinking PCN Team under the GP ARRS scheme. The role is offered initially for a fixed term of 12 months (until 31st March 2026) with a view to permanency subject to confirmation of future funding.

About North & South Gloucester Primary Care Network:

North & South Gloucester (NSG) Primary Care Network (PCN) consists of five surgeries located around Gloucester – The Alney Practice, Brockworth Surgery, Churchdown Surgery, Hucclecote Surgery and Longlevens Surgery. We are a growing PCN with over 58,000 patients and a PCN staff of over 40. We are passionate about developing and delivering excellent quality local services to meet the needs of our communities. We work closely together with a wide range of local providers, including acute trusts, social care, the voluntary and community sector, and patient participation groups to offer proactive, personalised, preventative, and co-ordinated health and social care to our local population.

About the Role:

• 4 -7 session per week to perform as an autonomous General Practitioner, working independently and with other health care professionals to assess, diagnose and treat the conditions of patients and completion of all associated administration
• You will undertake consultations face to face in practice, on the telephone and on home visits
• Fifteen-minute appointments with regular admin within safe working limits
• Six weeks annual leave and one week of study leave per annum
• A dedicated GP mentor to support your transition into this new role
• Where possible we will support areas of specialist interest within the PCN team and more widely within Practices.
