Job Description
We are delighted to offer a unique opportunity for a Salaried General Practitioner to join our small, friendly team at Yorkleigh Surgery. As participants in the new National General Practice Pilot (NGPP) you will have the chance to help Yorkleigh, working in collaboration with our PCN colleagues, shape the future of General Practice.
The Practice prides itself on creating a warm, welcoming environment for staff and patients. We provide quality clinical care to approximately 8050 patients and have worked to establish close connections within the local community, including nursing and residential homes, pharmacies, the District Nursing Team, and other healthcare professionals.
We are also proud to be part of Central PCN, named PCN of the Year at last year’s General Practice awards.
Our clinical team consists of three GP Partners, one salaried GP, two Advanced Nurse Practitioners, one Paramedic, two Practice Nurses, two HCAs and one Phlebotomist as well as the extended team of Pharmacists, Social Prescribers and First Contact Practitioners.
They are supported by a committed team of care navigators, administrative support, and managerial team.
We are also a training practice with GP Registrars and Student Nurses on placement with us.
As a smaller team we work collaboratively to ensure we are achieving the high standards that we attain to and are providing care to our patients to be proud of. To encourage an ethos of us working together as a team, we arrange bi-monthly socials, have small gifts at special times of the year and have a big, post-Christmas celebration.
